by EM Lewis ONE NIGHT ONLY Sat, Nov 22, 2008 @ 8PM
A staged reading in a joint venture between Echoes Theater Project and Who Wants Cake?
DONATIONS ACCEPTED AT THE DOOR
In a prison somewhere in Iraq sit a British Embassy worker, an American engineer, a network journalist and a freelance photographer. Captives by an unnamed terrorist cell, the four civilians are thrust from the sidelines of the conflict directly into the heart of it in EM Lewis’s gripping play Heads. Described by Edward Albee as “provocative and wonderfully threatening,” the play explores the choices we make as death is imminent as well as the “necessity and futility of hope” (LA Times).
The reading is directed by Michael Carnow and stars Jon Ager, Stephen Blackwell, Dan Morrison and Inga Wilson.
